The Sgt. York Patriotic Foundation will host its annual Veterans Day Ceremony at 11:00 on Monday November 11th to honor all the men and women who have served our wonderful country. This year will feature the Noteworthy Choir and the JROTC cadets from York Agricultural Institute along with several honored guests, including the Immediate Past Commander of the Tennessee American Legion. All Veterans will be recognized during the patriotic ceremony.

We are privileged to have a special keynote speaker this year, Major General Terry “Max” Haston. He is the recently retired Adjutant General that oversaw the Military Department of Tennessee that includes the Army National Guard, the Air National Guard, the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency, and the Tennessee State Guard. Maj. Gen. Haston was commissioned as an Army Officer in the U.S. Army in 1979 from middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Maj. Gen. Haston has served and deployed to multiple locations throughout his illustrious career and has been awarded numerous medals and awards for his devoted service.

The ceremony will conclude with a picture of all Veterans present. The Mark Twain American Legion Post from Jamestown will provide the 21 gun salute.
