Day After Thanksgiving Hike

Friday, November 27, 2020
Greetings from the staff here at Alvin C. York State Historic State Park. Please join us for our annual Day After Thanksgiving Hike again this year. This is a good opportunity to get outdoors and enjoy nature. We will be taking the burial site trail from the Visitor Center and back, which is one mile approximately. The trail is suitable for beginners as the gentle terrain follows the gorgeous Wolf River, with a crossing of the suspension bridge during the hike.  We will gather at the burial place of Sgt. Alvin C. York before returning to the Visitor Center. Be prepared to practice social distancing, maintaining six feet in between individuals or groups on this hike. As a precaution, the terrain may be challenging to maintain an adequate amount of space so please have masks handy. We will be setting out at 12:00 PM CST on the 27th. We look forward to having you join us. Spots are limited, so please use the link included to register!
