Tales of the Wolf River: A Canoe Float

Friday, June 11, 2021

Join staff from Sgt. Alvin C York State Historic Park this summer as we float the Wolf River upstream to the very namesake of the Valley, the Forks of the Wolf.  Hear tales and legends of Native Americans, Longhunters, Civil War marauders, and much much more, as the river flows  its way through history and through the heart of the Valley itself.

Meet in the parking lot across from the York Home.

Options for the float:

  • $20 - Park Canoe

We have a limited number of park canoes available, complete with paddles, lifejackets, and instruction on how to properly paddle them.  Each canoe will fit a total of two (2) adults seated in bow and stern, and one (1) child 13 and under,  seated in the middle section of the boat.  Float the river in a park boat with everything provided!

  • $5 per person - Bring your own boat

Do you have your own Canoe or Kayak? Bring it along for a discounted price!  Be sure to bring your paddles and life jackets as they will be required.
